Deanna Ivey Chavis

With more than three decades of real estate experience between them, Deanna Ivey Chavis and Tina Nelson have joined together to form the Property Closers team at Coldwell Banker Advantage based in Fayetteville, N.C.


“We are blessed to be working together on behalf of our amazing clients who have become friends and are a strong part of our network,” says this dynamic duo.


Both Deanna and Tina grew up in the Hope Mills area. They bring a familiarity with the market, along with a special brand of caring and attention to details in every transaction.


Deanna began her real estate studies while still in high school. She comes by the business naturally, having grown up watching her mother, longtime Fayetteville Realtor Ann Locklear.


Deanna steadily gained an expertise in working with home buyers and sellers, as well as investors looking for foreclosure properties. “Constant communication is key,” she says.


When not working, Deanna enjoys spending time with her husband, Brandom, and their family. She also loves to dabble in fashion design, sew, travel, and work out. Deanna also has a special place in her heart for those with special needs, in large part to honor her twin sister, Heather, who suffered from cerebral palsy and passed away at age 17.


Tina Nelson traces her real estate career back to 2005 after she met her future husband, a home builder. She began learning the business from his listing agent and also fell in love with real estate. Previously, she worked as an ophthalmologic technician for several years until the doctor’s retirement.


Tina’s clients will tell you that her switch to real estate was fortunate for them. And Tina couldn’t be happier, too.


“I love all aspects of home buying and selling and especially working with first-time buyers to see their excitement when they find ‘the one,’” she says. “I also enjoy working with investors and seeing the potential to take a run-down property and turn it into a beautiful rental or resale.”


When not working, Tina might be found volunteering with The Arts Council of Fayetteville/Cumberland County. She also enjoys making memories with loved ones. “I have a wonderful, supportive family,” she says. “A husband, son, daughter, a bonus son, two daughter in laws, two granddaughters and one grandson who are the loves of my life, and a cat named Daisy Mae.
